Swiss Galoppers SG-LX – adjustable winter hoof boots with spikes

The SG-LX winter hoof boots from Swiss Galoppers are particularly suitable for horses with narrow, elongated hooves, pronounced heel bulbs or high heels. Interchangeable connectors allow adjustment to the individual shape of the hoof, heel bulbs and heels.

Six pre-installed zinc-plated steel spikes provide extra grip on ice, snow and muddy, deep ground. The spikes developed specifically for Swiss Galoppers leave the shock-absorbing insole completely intact.

Which connectors are included?

You can easily replace the connectors yourself. The following lengths are included in the SG-LX Winter Boot-Kit:

• Sizes SG3-LX to SG6-LX: Connectors in 50 and 60 mm. The 60 mm connectors are pre-installed.
• Sizes SG7-LX and SG8-LX: Connectors in 60 and 70 mm. The 70 mm connectors are pre-installed.

Contents of the SG-LX Winter Boot-Kit

• 1 pair of SG-LX winter hoof boots including six pre-installed spikes
• 1 pair of closure straps with Swiss Galoppers lettering
• 1 pair of pastern straps with soft neoprene pads
• 1 pair of contoured heel bulb protection pads
• Connectors in two lengths, including assembly tool

The neoprene pads on the pastern straps and the heel bulb protection pads are secured with hook-and-loop fastenings.

Materials, comfort and manufacturing in Switzerland

• Made in Switzerland: The hoof boots are manufactured in Lupfig. The hoof boots and connectors are made from 100% recyclable thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).
• Abrasion-resistant sole tread: The tread is designed for high abrasion resistance.
• Flexible cushioning: The flexible, shock-absorbing insole helps keep the boots comfortable to wear.
• Easy handling: The closure strap with particularly durable hook-and-loop fastening makes the boots quick to put on and take off.

Are the spikes already installed?

Yes. The SG-LX Winter Boot-Kit is supplied with pre-installed zinc-plated steel spikes. You do not need to install the spikes yourself before first use.

Matching accessories and connectors

• For horses with particularly sensitive pasterns, we recommend the pastern protector for SG Boots. This additional pastern protector is not included in the SG-LX Winter Boot-Kit.
